Welcome to day 11 one and all!
This review is on time 😀 So what do we have in store for today?
Apple Pie Spice (Not currently available to buy)
Ingredients: Cinnamon, ginger, apple pieces, hibiscus, cornflower petals, stevia, clove, cardamom, black pepper, natural flavours.
Another tisane and apple pie sounds good right about now.
In appearance you have lovely contrast with the colourful cornflower and hibiscus petals against the brown base of fruit and herbs.
In scent this smells oh so juicy and fruity with a spicy ginger punch. It’s lovely!
Steeping Parameters: Boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
Once steeped the resulting liquor is tan/brown in colour and bares a thick, apple scent with spices. Reminds me of mulled cider.
The first few sips reveal sweetness from the stevia base with apple flavours and a refreshing spice blend which comes through in the after taste with some dryness.
It tastes like mulled cider. I used to hoard a similar blend from America every year because I would drink through it constantly. This blend is very similar, it’s warming and packed with flavour but overall it’s light and refreshing. Not to mention alcohol free!
On top of how wonderful it tastes it does actually make me feel Christmassy.
At the end of the day it’s a well spiced, apple tisane that offers the drinker a warm, Christmas hug.
Until Tomorrow, Happy Steeping!
