BlueBird Tea Co Advent Calendar of Tea – Day 13

advent_calendar_of_tea__1

Unlucky for some; it’s day 13 on the advent calendar. Almost two weeks of excitement has passed me by. A part of me can’t believe it’s so close to Christmas already!

Opening flap 13 reveals…

Day 13 – Mulled Wine Tea Candle

This is another twist on the boxes contents. It contains the word tea yet it’s not of an edible kind.

So what do Bluebird say about this tea light?

Bluebird’s popular Mulled Wine Christmas tea infused in this handmade soy candle. Wafts of cinnamon, orange and fruity red winter wine!

After everyone went mad for our tea candles earlier on in the year, we have made a truly irresistible mulled wine scented candle, with aromas of clove, cinnamon and orange it gives out those warm nostalgic smells of Christmas we are all so familiar with.

After teaming up with Lu Aromatherapy to create our beautiful tea infused soaps we are excited to have created new tea scented candles. They are 100% natural. They are SLS free and contain no parabens, and are naturally scented with 100% essential oils and use vegan and environmentally friendly SOY wax.

Like our soaps the range is handmade in Brighton, all vegan friendly and definitely not tested on animals.

This brings a smile to my face for a couple of reasons. 1 – It’s soy wax ie vegan. 2 – It’s handmade from a small business. 3 – It’s a tea in candle form.

Granted that what I received is actually smaller than the one for sale on their website I’m actually enjoying the little gift. I love candles but can’t always burn them because of my cats, they are too curious for their own good some times.

There is the candle that I actually received. It’s white with a few assorted pieces in the wax. Opening the lid I can smell orange and cinnamon which is sweet and also rather soft. Nothing overpowering but it does smell natural which is a plus.

It’s a beautiful scent and very Christmasy, I’m actually going to keep it for Christmas day while I sip spiced cider 🙂 I’m sure I can resist it’s charms until then.

So we’ve had tea, then chocolates and now candles; I do wonder what else will be in this wondrous calendar? Join me tomorrow to see what’s under door number 14.

Happy Steeping!
